As you stroll down the promenade you will pass many cafes and tearooms where most have seating areas outside. Why not take in a cup of tea or a cold drink or even grab a bite to eat, maybe an extra sausage for your dog.
Tearooms is the only cafe that has steps leading to it straight from the beach with a large outside seating area to relax in with your dog and enjoy a cup of tea and a bite to it, My dogs love the sausages from here whenever we walk on the beach as this one is the nearest to our Bed and Breakfast in Great Yarmouth and is open most of the year.
Also along the Promenade you will find childrens bouncy castles and slides, plus a boat trip to scroby sands to see the seals, Maybe you would like to hire a deckchair and enjoy the sunshine.
Plenty of amusements along the front, From small arcades to large ones all offering plenty of fruit machines. Also along the front is kfc and subways situated in the amusement arcades
Also along the front are plenty of other things to do, To name but a few there is Wellington bowls plus a large amusement arcade, Pirates crazy golf plus other crazy golf's, Britannia pier only 4 minute walk from our Bed and Breakfast here in Great Yarmouth. Amazon reptile world, Sea life center, Go swimming at the Marin'a, Cinema, Joyland amercian diner, Plus lots more.
From April until October you can only let our dog off on the beach on the left hand side of Britannia Pier which is only a 5 Minute walk away from our Bed and Breakfast, This side of the beach has dunes and is a great walk for dogs and goes on for miles. The Waterways is lovely, you can also walk your dogs here and maybe watch the ducks, there is even a little cafe on the waterways to grab a drink or a bite to eat.
We have to give Potter Heighman a mention even though we have not found a Dog friendly pub the scenery is great and you can walk along the river with your dog. A river filled with swans and there is a pub right on the river where you could sit outside with your dog. A very big mention to Lathams a QD shop but larger than the normal QD's. Here you can buy anything from clothes ( a good choice ) to food, wine and spirits, Ornaments. candles, Sheets, duvets, curtains, Garden centre, Doggy treats or toys, Games, books well just to many things to mention but all at a very good price. You can also hire a boat from Potter Heighman if you fancy a day on the Norfolk broads. Potter Heighman is roughly a 15 minute drive from our Bed and Breakfast here in Great Yarmouth.
Another place you can go with your dog is Fairhaven woodland and water gardens even though we have not yet visited it does look nice and as dogs are allowed it is worth a mention, To get there you would need a car, please look on their website for more details, Look out for the boat trip on the broads where dogs can also go.
