“Lovely friendly and clean guest house”
Reviewed 11 January 2012

My partner and I stayed at the Seashells Guest House from 4th January to 7th January and we couldn't have been made more welcome by Sue and her family - including Sue's own dogs. We had our two Border Terriers Midge and Womble with us and with Womble still being quite young she was quite nervous but from the offset Sue gave them both the biggest fuss when we first arrived, which was such a lovely thing to do.
It was unfortunate that we had to cut our break short and leave
a day early but I would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house to anyone who wants to be right in the centre of Great Yarmouth.
The beach is a lovely walk for the dogs, on the left hand side of the pier you can take them on the sand dunes and our two ran round so much Womble had to be carried back to the car!! We found a lovely cafe on the seafront which was a real
find in January and its ideal if you just want a quick no fuss meal, the food was lovely and home made which made it much more tasty.
All in all I can't praise Sue enough, she has the knack for making you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble
for her.
We stayed in the Cappuccino room which had plenty of room and a sofa which makes a nice change from having to sit on a bed all the time. The dogs soon made themselves at home and there was even a dog water bowl, bed and towel as well as treats for them which we thought were such lovely thoughtful extras.
Many thanks Sue for all your hard work you really have found your true calling in life and were born to make others happy when they are away from home.

Fantastic!”

My husband and I stayed with our dog (a 9 month old Brittany) this weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased with the guesthouse! From start to finish we were made to feel very welcome and the room we stayed in (latte room) was clean & compfortable with plenty of storage for our bits n bobs. Breakfast was lovely and we even were offered a sausage for our dog :O). They really make the effort to go the extra mile to make dog's welcome which is so rare to find done well. Thanks again Sue.

Room Tip: Rooms are individually decorated so take your pick from the web-site.

My Wife & I had a lovely week’s stay at Seashells on the 1st Dec. for a week.
Sue is very welcoming & puts herself out to make your stay special.
The rooms are comfortable, & have all the special touches to make it a home from home.
We stayed in the Cappuccino room which is really nice, with a large plasma TV with Freeview. The room also has a comfortable sofa to sit on as well. There are
little added touches like chocolates, and also a lovely selection of coffees.
The breakfast was good and as my Wife has to have a low fat diet Sue was very helpful in supplying additions to the normal menu.
Thank you Sue, for the lovely break we had, in your lovely home from home guest house, in Great Yarmouth.

We stayed at Seashells last week-end 30 Sep - 2 Oct 2011 when we had that fantastic weather. Sue is a marvellous host and the B&B was an excellent place to stay, so many lovely finishing touches that made our week-end perfect. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the full English breakfasts were great. We will definitely be staying there again....

Smiles and laughter at Seashells”
Reviewed 3 October 2011

We stayed at Seashells for a short break in September and had a fantastic time! This is the second time we have stayed here, last year for the Heritage Weekend and this year for the Out There Festival. Sue and Pete made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble! K9 room was marvellous! specially requested by us as it was so lovely last time and it has bee n newly decorated since with lots of doggy items and it was a brilliant surprise. We dont have a dog but would recommend it to others, with or without dogs.

As someone previously said the kingsize bed was terrific! enough room for the seven dwarves in there! lol! and all the little touches really made it special....everything is thought of.....fan, hairdrier, tea and coffee, extra bedding, toiletries, the "just in case" basket was a brilliant touch as you
often forget something and sure enough we did! so out came the brand new "cling-wrapped" brush, such a good and original idea, this is the only place ive seen this. Well done Sue! there was also things like note pad and pen, tissues, razor (new), sewing kit and cotton balls....just in case. Great breakfast, really substantial and delicious! There was a lovely, happy girl helping with the breakfasts too. Festival brochure was ready for you in the room. My daughter wasnt able to be there for breakfast and Sue was happy to do her foil-wrapped sausage sandwiches for later. We arrived quite late Friday night and Pete was there ready to welcome us and when we left Sue was very helpful in letting us leave our bags there until it was time for our train home. Last year we drove and were given parking permits for our car and was able park close by. We had a great fun and laughter chatting with Sue and would highly recommend this hotel. We will be staying again next time we are in Great Yarmouth.

“Best dog hotel in great yarmouth.”

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend with our dogs. The guest house is in a perfect location, close to shops and the beach. Sue issues a parking permit for your stay which we found very useful. Sue is a fantastic host and very kind and keeps her guest house spotless. We stayed in the poppy room. There were chocolates on our bed and bedside table. It has a lovely kingsize bed with a flatscreen tely and a dvd  player. There was a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and a fan and hairdryer. Our room was ensuite with a ample-sized bathroom which was spotless. Lovely clean fresh white towels. There was shower gel etc in the bathroom.
There was a wide range of choices for breakfast including pancakes, full english breakfast, cereal etc. There was very generous portions.
Thanks to Sue and Peter for all the hard work they put into their lovely guest house.

Despite being a dog friendly B&B the rooms are immaculate and there are no traces of dog-smell or hair. The rooms are comfortable and the owner exceedingly welcoming. overall it is a brilliant B&B and one my family will be returning to again and again.
